REGISTERED MEDICAL ASSISTANT - 2 positions available: Woodholme (After Hours Care/Part-time); Towson (Internal Medicine- Full-time)
Opportunity for Medical Assistants with experience to join this multi-site, multi-specialty practice. You will work closely with the physicians in direct patient care to include performing vitals, exam room set-up and break-down, diagnostic and screening tests, triaging messages, administering shots, and all of the things that come up during a busy day in a medical office. A mindset to provide quality patient care and customer service are a must. Offices are located throughout the Baltimore City and County area.
Current certification as a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant. Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program and/or a minimum of 2 years related experience. Prefer experience in Internal Medicine. Must be computer literate with knowledge of electronic medical records and electronic practice management system a plus. NextGen experience preferred. Able to physically assist patients onto and off of examination tables. Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail required.
RECEPTIONIST FLOATER – Towson Full- time
This full-time position helps in all areas of the Towson office as needed. Job duties include greeting patients and visitors via phone and in person, completing all steps of patient check-in process in EPM system; requesting, verifying and recording demographic and insurance information for new and existing patients; scheduling patient appointments, patient tests; collecting co-pays and other patient payments.
Minimum two years Medical Office experience, basic computer skills with a willingness and ability to learn new applications, an understanding of the electronic insurance verification system and checking patient eligibility of scheduled patients, experience in handling cash transactions, medical billing and processing, ability to interact effectively with culturally diverse patient and employee population, ability to convey a positive attitude and project a professional image. Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
