After Hours Care

We’re Here for You When You Need Us

Illness doesn’t keep regular hours. Fevers often peak overnight, and symptoms can worsen when you least expect it. That’s why we offer Same-Day Appointments at all major locations and After-Hours Care at our Woodholme office. Both options are staffed by Clinical Associates' professionals who have access to your medical records and coordinate directly with your primary care provider.

After Hours Care

As a Clinical Associates patient, you benefit from After-Hours Care, providing you with immediate access to a practitioner during evenings, weekends, and other non-traditional hours. Our goal is to keep your care integrated: After-Hours Care providers have full access to your medical history, ensuring continuity with your primary care team.

To schedule an After-Hours appointment, please call your primary care office during our normal business hours and follow the prompts for triage and scheduling.

When to See Your Primary Care Provider

Your primary care provider is your partner in managing your health. For routine check-ups, chronic conditions, and non-emergency issues, your primary care provider should be your first stop. Aim to see them at least once a year for preventive care and as needed for other health concerns.
  • Preventative Care
  • Medicare Wellness Visits
  • Immunizations
  • Management of Chronic Conditions
  • Diagnosis and Treatment of Minor Illnesses (e.g., colds, flu, sore throat, rashes, lower back pain, high blood pressure, and more)

When to Choose After Hours Care

If your primary care provider is unavailable and you need prompt attention for a non-life-threatening issue, our After-Hours Care Center (AHCC) is here to support you. With lower costs than emergency rooms and urgent care centers, AHCC is a smart choice for immediate, affordable care.
  • Minor Injuries (e.g., sprains, strains)
  • Cold and Flu Symptoms
  • Pre-Operative Evaluations
  • Sore Throat, Rashes, Pink Eye, and more

When to Use the Emergency Room

For life-threatening emergencies, the ER is the place to go. When in doubt, call 911, and remember to follow up with your primary care provider afterward.
  • Babies or infants requiring immediate care
  • Serious injuries to the head or eyes
  • Severe burns
  • Suspected overdose or poisoning
  • Intense chest or abdominal pain
  • Severe allergic reactions
  • Heart attack symptoms
  • High fevers and stroke symptoms
  • Difficulty breathing
